Is it taking a surprisingly long time to verify MapleSaga? No worries - feel free to try any of the following methods to fix this common problem.

    Method #1
    1. Restart the computer, while booting hold down Command-R to boot into recovery mode.
    2. Once booted, navigate to the "Utilities > Terminal" in the top menu bar.
    3. Enter "csrutil disable" (no quotes) in the terminal window and hit the return key.
    4. Restart the machine and System Integrity Protection will now be disabled.
    5. To re-enable System Integrity Protection, follow the steps above, except use the "csrutil enable" (no quotes) command for step 3.

Method #2 (doesn't work on Mac OS Sierra)
    1. Go to System Preferences -> Security & Privacy.
    2. Allow your Mac to run unidentified apps by selecting "Anywhere" in the General tab.

    Method #3

    1. Run install.command by holding down the Ctrl key while clicking on the application.
    2. Launch MapleSaga.app by holding down the Ctrl key while clicking on the application.

    Method #4

    1. Open a Terminal using Spotlight Search.
    2. Run sudo spctl --master-disable in the terminal (see http://apple.stackexchange.com/a/245029 for more details).

Drag the app into your Application folder, you seem to be opening it from the DMG image.

After Sierra none of these works. Just paste this in terminal:
    xattr -d com.apple.quarantine

press space and drag MapleSaga icon into terminal and press enter. Now it will be verified for good.
